The accredited train-the-trainer Nurse Educator Program improves PD nursing care by training nursing education leaders across the U.S. to educate nursing students about Parkinson’s disease. To date, the program has trained more than 435 nurses who, in turn, reach an estimated 26,000 nursing students annually, helping meet the expanding need for Parkinson's knowledge in nursing education. This program offers nursing programs educators academic instruction, guided clinical observation opportunities with Parkinson’s patients, independent study, and mentorship from nurse specialists at nationally recognized movement disorder centers.
