Richard Huckabee is a husband, father, avid traveler, hiker, amateur photographer, and a retired Executive Manager. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in February 2013. Richard currently serves as a Parkinson’s Foundation Aware in Care Ambassador and Research Advocate, specializing in exercise research. He has participated in several PD-related research studies, and he serves on a number of Parkinson’s-related committees alongside his wife. Richard has a passion to serve his community, and he continues to inspire people with Parkinson’s to “Get better every day”. He is living well with his disease, which he attributes to the grace of God and support from his family, friends, and doctors, and his daily mantra is “Every day I fight.”
