Giselle Petzinger, MD
Dr. Giselle Petzinger is an associate professor and clinical scholar in Movement Disorders and a Parkinson's disease researcher at The University of Southern California, Department of Neurology. She is a graduate of USC, and she completed her residency at Yale University and her PD fellowship training at Columbia University. Her research interests lie in investigating mechanisms of neuroplasticity and repair in animal models and individuals with PD. Her expertise lies in understanding the role of exercise in facilitating cognitive-motor circuitry in PD. Her current research interest is focused on examining the role of different dimensions of fitness and exercise types on cognitive function in PD and their differential effects on underlying neural circuitry using multimodality imaging techniques.
