Julia Wood, MOT, OTR/L
Ms. Wood is an occupational therapist who specializes in person-centered care for people with Parkinson's disease and related dementias. Julia became passionate about team based care for people with PD as a result of her experience as part of a care team at a Parkinson's Foundation (PF) Center of Excellence. Julia now serves as the Director of Professional and Community Education for the Lewy Body Dementia Association. Ms. Wood has served as faculty for PF's Team Training for Parkinson program since 2016 and served on PF's Rehabilitation Task Force in 2021. She has served as certification and training faculty for LSVT BIG since 2018. She co-authored the first American Occupational Therapy Association Practice Guideline for Parkinson's Disease in 2022. Julias served on the steering committee for the 2022 International Lewy Body Dementia Conference in Newcastle, England and serves on the Comprehensive Care Subcommittee for the World Parkinson's Congress in Barcelona, Spain in 2023.
