Parkinson's Foundation Ambassador Training
Volunteers support our mission to make life better for people with Parkinson’s disease (PD).
This training was created to provide volunteers with the tools and knowledge they need to communicate the Parkinson’s Foundation mission effectively and consistently in the field. It includes a series of online webinars that review basic volunteer skills as well as Parkinson’s Foundation activities and resources. Our hope is that you will complete this course and share this information when volunteering in your community.
The primary objectives of this training are to:
• Educate volunteers about the Parkinson’s Foundation so they have a general understanding of our mission, strategic goals and resources.
• Engage volunteers to share the information they learn within their local community when performing their volunteer duties.
This training is mandatory for all Parkinson’s Foundation Ambassadors. The course is self-paced, and your individual progress will be saved. The lessons contain a variety of activities, including video slide presentations and knowledge checks. After completing the training, you will be able to volunteer in your local chapter and connect your community to our vital resources so that every person with Parkinson's has the knowledge they need to live better.
The course will take approximately 2 hours to complete.
