Hospital Safety Training
The Hospital Safety Training covers critical information about the importance of hospital safety for people with Parkinson’s disease and how Parkinson’s Foundation Ambassadors can promote hospital safety in their community.
Ambassadors who complete this training will be able to educate people with Parkinson’s, their care partners and loved ones about how to prepare for and navigate a hospital stay using the Hospital Safety Guide. The course is self-paced, and your individual progress will be saved. The training includes video slide presentations, knowledge checks, and downloadable resources.
This course will take approximately 45 minutes to complete.

Target Audience
This activity is designed to meet the educational needs of volunteers who have already completed the Parkinson’s Foundation Ambassador Training.
Learning Objectives
The primary learning objectives of this training are to:
- Educate participants about the Hospital Care Initiative and our strategies to improve hospital care for people with Parkinson’s.
- Empower participants to educate their local community about the unique needs of people with Parkinson's in the hospital and the Hospital Safety Guide.
