Edie is a registered nurse with a BS in biology as well as a BSN in nursing.  Her clinical experience includes work as a paramedic, staff nurse in surgical intensive care, and head nurse in a regional burn center. Edie has a background in research which includes both basic science and clinical research.  Her prior research experience includes neuromuscular physiology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, HIV and AIDS, as well as movement disorders. Edie has been involved with Parkinson Disease since 2009 as a Clinical Research Nurse and Nurse Educator. Since retirement, Edie stayed involved with the Parkinson community by serving on the Board of Directors and as Educational Advisor for a local non-profit organization serving those with PD (Parkinson and Movement Disorder Alliance).  She also served as co-coordinator and nurse faculty for the Allied Team Training for Parkinson’s Program sponsored by the Parkinson Foundation.
