The Future of Telehealth: A Technological Perspective
This presentation reviews some of the technological solutions currently available to provide care remotely (i.e., telehealth) to persons with Parkinson’s disease, including monitoring symptoms and delivering therapy.
Additionally, the presentation discusses some of the more exciting avenues of research and development in the area of telemedicine neurology from the technological perspective.

At the end of this presentation, the learner will be able to:
- Evaluate the potential benefits of remote care technologies;
- Review the challenges of development and implementation of remote care technologies; and
- Discuss ways in which remote care technologies may be helping providers today.
