Your Interprofessional Care Team Approach to Cognitive Changes

Some people with Parkinson’s disease experience mild cognitive impairment. It may be harder to focus in situations that divide your attention, like a group conversation. When facing a task or situation on your own, you may feel overwhelmed by having to make choices.

This course focuses on cognition concerns and challenges. Parkinson’s is complex and can take multiple professionals to work collaboratively to deliver your optimal care plan. Our interprofessional care team approach focuses on assessment, recommendations, and treatment options to help you find strategies for adapting and coping with cognitive changes.

Each talk in the course is about 25 minutes and presented by one of our care team professionals.

Are some of the disciplines new to you? That's okay - we encourage you to become more familiar about your Care Team and how they each can add their perspective and recommendations for optimal living with Parkinson’s.
