Genetic Epidemiology of Parkinson's Disease 2022

Welcome to the Genetic Epidemiology of Parkinson’s disease 2022 course. The goal of the course is to familiarize healthcare professionals to identify the common gene mutations associated with Parkinson’s disease, recognize the variations in geographic prevalence and indicate penetrance.

Designed to view on screen and/or listen on the go, these short lessons provide key information to provide a basic understanding about the epidemiological basis for genetic forms of PD.

To receive your Continuing Education of 0.75 credits, you must complete all 5 lessons and a quiz.

First, take the pre-course quiz with five questions. There are no expectations for you to answer the questions correctly!

Next, start with Welcome to Genetic Epidemiology of Parkinson’s Disease. Pre- and post-course readings referenced in the video and other resources will be available for you to view and download at the end of the course.

At the end of the course, you will be required to take a post-course quiz with 6 questions and attain a passing grade of 80% or higher. You will also need to complete the online evaluation to receive your certificate. If you are not taking this course for CE credit, you will receive a certificate of completion after completing the quizzes and evaluation.

As knowledge application is measured by adapting change in practice, you will also receive a 60-day follow-up evaluation to assess any change in your practice and interprofessional care strategies.
