At the end of this chapter, the learner will be able to:
- Identify and define the cardinal features of Parkinson’s and common motor and non-motor symptoms.
- Categorize the pharmacology and physiology of antiparkinsonian medications and identify the potential benefits and contraindications of surgical treatments in Parkinson’s.
- Define neuroplasticity, identify the role of neurorehabilitation in early-stage PD, and examine the impact of exercise on improving motor performance in PD.
