Keeping the Body Moving in Late-Stage Parkinson’s
Chapter Five explores the unique challenges experienced in late-stage Parkinson's and creative ways to keep the body moving throughout the continuum. This chapter includes video demonstrations of key exercises and specific adaptations that may be used by clinicians.
At the end of this chapter, the learner will be able to:
- Adapt a successful exercise prescription associated with motor and non-motor symptoms commonly experienced in late-stage Parkinson’s, including coaching, cueing, and safety protocol.
- Compare and contrast select interventions based on a client's individual condition and stages as it relates to the patient in the case presentation.
