ForwardCare Partner Program
The Parkinson’s Foundation Care Partner Program is a series of self-paced online courses designed with care partners in mind.
This course is recommended for anyone caring for someone living with PD, including spouses, partners, parents, children, friends or other family members.
We encourage you to use this program in the way that best suits your needs and your schedule. Start with the course that you're most interested in and progress through the others as you feel you are able. We have no expectations, only hopes that these courses will make your life caring for your loved one with Parkinson's a little bit easier. Target Audience
This course is built for care partners of people with Parkinson's, including both primary and secondary care partners, from diagnosis through advanced Parkinson's.
Welcome to the Care Partner Program: Building a Care Partnership! This series of self-paced online courses designed with care partners in mind and is recommended for anyone caring for someone living with PD, including spouses, partners, parents, children, friends or other family members.
When you love someone with Parkinson's disease, whether they are recently diagnosed, adapting to new challenges of PD progression or have been living with the disease for a long time, a strong support network is essential for both their well-being and yours. Making sure to take care of yourself can help create a productive partnership that minimizes stress and conflict.
Courses within the Care Partner Program feature clinical experts such as movement disorders neurologists, social workers, psychologists, counselors, rehabilitation therapists and more. Additionally, these courses feature experts in the lived experience of Parkinson’s – Parkinson’s disease care partners.
